Brothers Daniel and Brendan Cochrane are the Clydesdale Building Co team.

Both took an interest in trades throughout high school, and after finishing their apprenticeships in Australia, found themselves working in Canada and the UK respectively. Dan and Bren worked on high end homes in Whistler and London for four years.

Fast forward to 2020, and the brothers were both back at home in Brisbane. Having both worked for other people for over a decade, they were ready to take their global experience and do things differently. Clydesdale Building Co was born.

So, why Clydesdale Building Co? Dan and Bren were ready to build a sustainable business for their young families. And as for the name - well, the Clydesdale horse is the working horse that built Australia.

Brendan Cochrane

Brendan has been a carpenter for nearly 15 years, starting as an apprentice in 2010.

Brendan worked in London, with experience in new builds, as well as the historic homes that a country like the UK has to offer.

Renovating existing homes, particularly Queenslanders, is Bren’s specialty.

Daniel Cochrane

Dan has been a carpenter for just shy of 20 years.

Dan’s extensive experience across Canada and Australia led him to realise that quality wasn’t always guaranteed, and knew there was a better way to deliver construction projects.
